Messing around one day with left over paint and got this unique rainbow design on a piece of wood. It feels a little like grandma’s doily at warp speed. Kind of spacy kind of granny-ish.
Anyhow, here’s a plus, the thickness of this wood makes it nice to stand up on a shelf and honestly it doesn’t have to be horizontal all the time, the design looks just as good vertically and will stay there on a level surface.
This is an acrylic painting on wood. The dimensions are 3 1/2 x 8.5 x 3/4 inches.
I use Apple Barrel brand, indoor-outdoor, gloss acrylic paint. I mix my own colors from red, yellow, green and blue. I also use their black and white. I find the colors to be eye popping, easy to blend, and mixes well with pouring medium or water. The colors stay beautiful even in partial sun and rain.
